You MUST provide us with a detailed answer about your ministry activities and the name & location of your credentialing ministerial association. (Note: Please provide more than just the name of church/synagogue/ministry to be considered for membership.)
When I was in the US as a student , I had a wonderful opportunity to serve as a volunteer at the Allen Davis Ministry Center, Tulsa, OK (www.ministry-center.org)
I felt the Lord put me there for a reason.
After I completed my Masters in the US, I felt deeply in my spirit, the Lord wanted me to return to India and start a ministry for the poor and the needy which has been my desire since childhood. Now I understand why the Lord had me volunteer at the Ministry center. When I was in high school I was greatly influenced by two quotes of Saint Francis of Assisi. One says that, “our life will be meaningful and productive only when we seek the interests of others.” The second says that, “when we get to heaven the Lord won’t ask us how much did we have but how much did we give?” Hence, I have dedicated my life for the sake of the poor and the needy. As you may be aware, India, besides its wonderful cultural heritage, is a land of need with half of the country’s population living below the poverty line. When I was in the U.S., I heard the Lord speak to me to start Compassion centers in different cities and villages where the poor will be fed and clothed physically and fed spiritually as they are led to Christ. I know it is a huge challenge and work considering the dynamics and socio-political-economical systems of my country. However, I also know He who has called me faithful and believe He will lead me through. After my return from the U.S.in 2011, by God’s grace my wife and I started Global Compassion Trust under the Global Compassion Ministries. To start with, we desire that there will be church planting in villages in South India. As I have been travelling in south India visiting villages, I see pastors ministering there among the Hindus and Muslims and sharing the Gospel fearlessly. Some of them do not have a vehicle to go around and their families do not even have basic necessities. They don’t get to eat healthy, nutritious food. Through the Compassion centers, we help these pastors financially so that they can continue to their work and take care of their families.
I also have a special place in my heart for the orphans, the widows and the destitute. Their educational and familes’ financial needs are met. There is going to be a computer training center for children and adults. These are my ministry’s short term plans. The ministry has long term plans which include a Christian school, a hospital, and community centers for poor students to get free education, a counseling center and a pastoral training center. We provide food for the poor every Friday. Once a month we distribute free clothes to the poor in different places. It is a humble beginning. But we know we have so much to do.
I also pastor a local church and minister the word of God every week.
