Profile Information

You MUST provide us with a detailed answer about your ministry activities and the name & location of your credentialing ministerial association. (Note: Please provide more than just the name of church/synagogue/ministry to be considered for membership.)
Bethel Evangelistic And Rehabilitation Centre is an accountable national NGO, functioning in Krishnagiri District of Tmailnadu state in South India. We are more than 20 years old. Our primary aim and objective is "Proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom Of God" to people who live in rural villages having had no opportunity or less opportunity to hear the Good news, and plant new churches where there has never been a church. A HUGE TASK IS IT NOT?
Bethel trains bare-foot national evangelists and pastors who never had the privilege to go for a seminary education (or) missionary training. We also support the native pastors and evangelists financially by giving them a small monthly support, till they are able to stand on their feet. FASTING AND PRAYING, twice in month as God's servants is another solid ministry we have. Youth ministry, Annual "Residential Summer Camp", ministry for women, church revival, care for the elderly women and women are some of the mission and ministry that are going on.
We survive by the faithfulness of God, by trust and faith on his promises. Remember us in prayers please! If you need to know more about us, feel free to ask.

16th Residential Summer Camp For 500 Indian Rural children

This Year in 2012 we are planning to bring 500 rural Indian Children to the presence of Jesus Christ for 10 days and give the children of remote rural set up, a chance to meet their Lord and Saviour who can bless them and change their destiny.

A rented school campus is sought after to provide better accommodation, water and toilet facilities for these wonderful children. We charge not a penny for this children but provide every thing free of cost. Food, tea & coffee, morning and evening snacks, breakfast, lunch, dinner, stay, toiletry, study materials, travel subsidy and prizes. This is a Himalayan task for Bethel.

We ask for your Prayers asking the Lord to " Fly His crows" to us. We need just 30 people who can partner with us for this year's Camp meeting! Pray for the Special Trained team, the volunteers, good climate and bind the devil in the name of Jesus! For further details, contact me.

Sincerely,

Rev.Dass.T

From Dung Hill To Dining Table

                                                From  Dunghill to Dining Table

Going with Jesus to the wedding at Cana of Galilee, ( John.2:1-10),we come across 6 stone drums, each would contain 2 to 3 pots of water.

  • Naturally, every house may have just one such drum or washing water tank but here there were 6 of them. Presumably they were hired for wedding purpose, getting revenue for the master. The Bible says that there are vessels of…

Aren't we accountable to God and to Men?

God's Saints,

I serve the Lord Jesus in India, where 120 billion and more live. How ever only 5-6% are christians of all kind, and we as Christians have lot of responsibilities in taking the Gospel to the perishing Souls. The Lord has hundreds and thousands of missions agencies who are doing there best to do the task. Christianity in India is still considered as a "White man's Religion", and to the un-touchables and lower caste people. No foreign missionaries are allowed in…

Please explain your wedding customs in your country. How is the "proposal made" or are the marriages arranged.

How is the ceremony conducted?

Are there brides maids and groomsmen in your weddings as is the custom here in the USA?

Who covers the wedding expenses for the meal?

Is there such as things as a honeymoon?

(Newly married couples in one Christian group in the USA who live in a closed community, visit different members of the community, and each family gives them home made gifts to help them furnish their household. )

Regarding the exchange of money or goods, Biblically the man pays the bride price to the bride's family for the bride.
The daughter was considered very valuable to the family, and her loss/absence was felt throughout the household.

The husband gains tremendously from taking a wife, he has companionship,  another partner to work in or to begin a business.   An additional income if the bride is well educated, etc.,    The parents of the bride are "losing" the above especially if the bride moves far away.

We read that Abraham loaded his servant with 10 camels,  with many gifts for Rebecca and her family Gen. 24.

Jacob worked 7 years each for his two brides Rachel and Leah, a total of 14 years.

Also the among the Muslims, Africans and many Asians  the husbands pay a "bride price" for their wives.

What is the history of your custom in India, where the parents give their daughter away to marry, and pay the groom to take her?
