I am a full time Nursing Home Minister, non-denominational full gospel. My God has no limits in my ministry or my life. I live a God only directed life doing only what god has called me to do. I preach from the bible and the bible only. His word is all I need.

You are true about that old pagan tradition - but what is practiced today in some protestant churches (non catholic) is not about any pagan ritual or God, but all about Jesus - and following his path to the cross - it is truly a personal choice - sometimes I do it, sometimes I don't. Also, remember, that everything that is supposed to be for God, there is always an opposite counterpart. Look at Christmas, it was started in 546AD (approx) by a group of Christians who wanted to celebrate the same holiday as the Romans celebrated pagan god of the Sun (Saturna/sp?). Again, it is what's in your heart that counts and if you want to do it fine - but definitely not a necessity. Thank you for the info.

ALSO - I am a Nursing Home Minister also - non-denominational. Even though I have had a diversified background in different denominations and non-denominations, I chose to be ordained independent, non-denominational, because I put no limits on what God wants me to do. Humans do enough of that on their own (ha). I like to use a little bit of everything I have learned over the years in my teachings.
