Abiding Faith Part-2
The secret to the life of Jesus was His constant contact with the Father. Mark writes , very early in the morning , while it was still dark , Jesus got up , left the house and went off to a solitary place , where he prayed ( Mark 1:35 ) . He went up into a mountain apart to pray : and when the evening was come , he was there alone ( Matt . 14:23 , KJV ) He departed again into a mountain himself alone ( John 6:15 , KJV ) . These verses illustrate Jesus was abiding in God . We must follow the example of Jesus . Without that constant contact with God , we can do nothing . Jesus promised in John 14:16-17 , And I will pray to
The Father , and he shall give you another Comforter , that he may abide with you forever ; even the
Spirit of truth ; whom the world cannot receive , because it seeth him not , neither knoweth him : but
Ye know him ; for he dwelleth with you , and shall be in you ( KJV ) . God has made a wonderful
Provision for us to abide in Him . We have the Holy Spirit living in us and His Word , the Bible , to
Guide us to all truth . It is essential that we have both the Word of Truth and the continuous contact
With the Spirit of Truth- Holy Spirit .
