God Is…I Am… Devotional
Day 47 – 3/13/19: RENEWING TRUTH:
God's Word is My Lamp
RENEWING SCRIPTURE:
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
PSALM 119:105, NKJV
RENEWING THOUGHT:
God has a unique plan for you. A race only you can run. A path of destiny and blessing He has ordained for you to walk.
When you tune into His voice and meditate on His Word, His wisdom illuminates your path and you make sound choices. The secret to experiencing God's highest and best is simply allowing the wisdom of the Word to determine your identity and values.
Yes, as you engage with God's Word, you not only find nourishment for your spirit, but also direction for the next step. Imagine God's Word as a lantern-it gives enough light to see where you need to go for the immediate next decision. If you keep the flashlight on, you have sufficient light to see, but if you turn it off you can quickly become disoriented or lost.
The Bible has the words of life and can keep you from the snares and traps of the enemy. Memorize the Word and you will the Holy Spirit bringing them up to your awareness in key moments-to warn, encourage, enlighten, and lead you on the right path.
Read and ponder God's Word. Let it go down deep on the inside. In God’s Word, you will find the light you need to lead you in the right direction with new mercy for each day. God's Word is life and can lead and guide you in the way to go.
RENEWING INSPIRATION:
When we need guidance and wisdom take time to look to God's Word.

Day 48 – 3/14/19: RENEWING TRUTH:
I Consider God's Word
RENEWING SCRIPTURE:
I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways.
I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.
PSALM 119:14-16
RENEWING THOUGHT:
Believers who give God's Word a high place in their lives tend to keep their lives on track. The Word guards their way. It makes them wise. By God's Word, they discover the keys to living, making friends, achieving success, and finding fulfillment. Best of all, His Word is free to all.
A fresh infusion of power is released in your spirit each time you read and ponder scripture. lt is like plugging a device with a depleted battery into a charger. As you study the Bible and journal, you renew your mind through the living and active Word of God, which revitalizes you from the inside out. The more space these truths fill in your heart and mind, the more life-giving, fruit-bearing, mind-renewing benefits you experience.
Whenever your soul is thirsty, or your spirit is dry, come drink from the fountain of life. You do not live by bread alone, but by word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Jesus once said "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you-they are full of the Spirit and life” (John 6:63).
By examining, studying, and considering God's Word, you invite the very words of life directly into your life. When that happens, it is as though a wellspring of new life is rising up inside you.
RENEWING INSPIRATION:
The anchor of the Word holds until your storm passes by. Read it and spend time with God during the storm so you’ll get through it.
