Day 77 – 4/12/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

God is my Friend

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you."

JOHN 15:13-15, NKJV

RENEWING THOUGHT:

You have received a wonderful gift from God. That gift is His friendship. What an extraordinary concept. The King of the Universe no longer calls you a servant, to be kept at arm's length. No, He calls you "friend."

Friends of God are welcome in His presence and receive abundant grace to overcome every obstacle and carry out His plans. Furthermore, God reveals His plans and gives His counsel to His friends. He confides in those who love Him, mysteries and secrets to them. And He comes to their rescue in times of trouble.

Of course, friends spend time together because they enjoy each other's company. Embrace the amazing truth that God calls you His friend. Come to Him freely and frequently-not out of any sense of obligation or duty-but rather because of the joy and blessing the relationship brings to both parties.

Receive this truth. God likes you and likes being with you.

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

David found a companion in a prince of Israel; you can find a friend in the King of Israel, Jesus Christ. He has made a covenant with you. Among His final words were these, "I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Day 78 – 4/13/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

I Am on God’s Mind

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You.

PSALM 139:17-18, NKJV 

RENEWING THOUGHT:

When you love someone, you think about them. Those you love remain on your mind. You will order your priorities to be with them. You will find ways to help them achieve their fullest potential.

Now connect those truths to the reality that God loves you. As the Word makes clear, He thinks about you all the time. You are ever on His mind. He knows the number of hairs on your head and He knows when you rise and when you sit. He has not forgotten or overlooked you, and He will never replace you. The Bible says God's thoughts toward you are as the number of sand on the seashore. It is impossible to count every piece of sand on every beach around the world. The number cannot be counted; it will never be known. This is the number of God's thoughts toward you.

God knows you. Fully knowing you, He loves you and wants to be with you. The world has told you so many lies. One of those lies is that God does not care about you. Nothing could be further from the truth. God loves you. His thoughts toward you are as innumerable as the sand of the seashore. You are on His mind and He loves you fully, completely, and entirely.

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

God is fond of you. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it. If He had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, He’ll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe and He chose your heart.
