"Uniting Christian & Jewish Clergy from Around the World"
God Is…I Am… Devotional
Day 87 – 4/22/19: RENEWING TRUTH:
God is Rich in Mercy
RENEWING SCRIPTURE:
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved.
EPHESIANS 2:4-5, NIV
RENEWING THOUGHT:
God is merciful. He is compassionate, gracious, slow to anger and abounding in love (see Exodus 34:6). What wonderful, comforting news to discover that He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. “…As high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:11-14).
Yes, God is merciful toward you. And His mercy in inexhaustible. In fact, however much of His mercy you require today, that reservoir will still be there for you tomorrow, for His mercies are made new every morning (see Lamentations 3:23).
According to His great mercy He caused you to be born again-to a living hope-through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead (see 1 Peter 1:3). It was His kindness that led you to repentance (see Romans 2:4). His love is steadfast. His faithfulness is great.
Renew your mind to this fundamental truth about your heavenly Father: The God you serve is always a merciful God. He will not forsake, reject, or forget His covenant love for you. You can trust and rest fully in Him.
RENEWING INSPIRATION:
Goodness and mercy follow the child of God each and every day. Think of the days ahead. He will walk you through. He will take your hand. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me-not some, not most, but all the days of my life. Release your doubts. You are no candidate for insecurity. You can trust God…all the days of your life!

Day 88 – 4/23/19: RENEWING TRUTH:
I Am Merciful Because I Have Received Mercy
RENEWING SCRIPTURE:
Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
LUKE 6:36, NIV
RENEWING THOUGHT:
We are never more like our heavenly Father than when we are extending mercy to others. Compassion, patience, forgiveness, and kindness are at the heart of His character. This is simply who He is.
This is why the Word of God exhorts you to be merciful as your heavenly Father is merciful. The more we are transformed into His image, the less we judge and condemn. Jesus urges us, in the strongest possible terms, to be merciful because we have been the underserving recipients of His extravagant mercy.
Freely you have received, so freely give! Remember, you reap what you sow. Show mercy to others when you can. You never know when you might need someone else’s mercy down the road. We all have been shown much mercy so we should show much mercy!
As the prophet Micah reminds us: ”…what does the LORD require of you? But to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8, NKJV). May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you today. May goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life, and may you dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
You are free to give grace because much grace has been extended to you.
RENEWING INSPIRATION:
Authentic Christian living has its own order of priority in our lives: God first, others second, self third.

The AOCI exists as a fellowship of Spirit-filled Evangelical and Jewish Clergy for the purpose of: 1) Exalting God 2) Fellowshiping and 3) Divine Networking.
We do NOT advise, nor do we seek, to bring members out of their current denomination or ministerial association. We seek to have a platform to UNITE the Clergy of the world in ways that can benefit not only the Kingdom of God, but also the men and women who faithfully serve their communities, one another, and God.
