Jesus Has Given Us His Peace

We must protect our heart and mind (by keeping them on the things of God) because if the enemy takes control of these, he has control of us. Give them to God, He know how to keep them. Jesus has already made provisions for keeping our hearts and minds in perfect peace. He said in John 14:27:

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (www.bible.com -KJV).

God is going to take that peace Jesus left for us and guard our hearts and minds with it. But we must do something - Verse 6 of Phil 4:6-8:

“⁶Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

⁷And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

⁸Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (www.bible.com –KJV).

Therefore, as Jesus said in John 14:27: “…Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
