Joesph is a picture of Jesus Christ in the following ways:

They were both:

Beloved sons (Gen 37:3; Matthew 3:13)

   Hated (Gen 37:4; John 15:4)

Rejected as rulers (Gen 37:8; Lk 19:14)

Conspired against (Gen 37:18; Matt 27:1)

Sold for silver (Gen 37:28; Matt 26:15)

   Over-comers of temptation (Gen 39:7-12; Heb 4:15)

Given great power (Gen 41:42-44; Matt 28:18)

Some virtues of Jesus and Joesph that we as Christians should develop:

Readiness to stand the test and serve in all circumstances

Faithfulness to God, self, and duty

Attribution of his wisdom and abilities to God

Acknowledgment of God's sovereignty in all situations

Remembrance of his family when he had great authority

A forgiving spirit when he had great authority

About AOCI

The AOCI exists as a fellowship of Spirit-filled Evangelical and Jewish Clergy for the purpose of: 1) Exalting God 2) Fellowshiping and 3) Divine Networking.

We do NOT advise, nor do we seek, to bring members out of their current denomination or ministerial association. We seek to have a platform to UNITE the Clergy of the world in ways that can benefit not only the Kingdom of God, but also the men and women who faithfully serve their communities, one another, and God.
