This is Part 2 of the “Soul Ties” series. Soul ties are very important; they can hinder or enhance us – make us better or harm us. If we are still connected to the things or people in our past, it can affect us presently or in the future. I found some great information about soul ties on this website, www.b4prayer.orgthis site gives a full explanation of soul ties and it’s results – plus, it gives a prayer to pray against soul ties.

The purpose of this teaching is to make you more aware of soul ties and help you get set free from them. A lot of times, we don’t know we need to be set free from them; that was my case. In 2006, after divorcing the last abusive guy, I found out about soul ties – had not heard about them before that. I heard a message and that message let me knew, I was still soul tied to my ex-husband. I did more research about soul ties and found the b4prayer.org’s website. I prayed the prayer against soul ties, and God delivered me from them. Not only did I pray the prayer for the ex-husband, but for anyone in my past or present at the time, whom I was still soul tied to. Therefore, I know soul ties are very real and they are nothing to play with; ANYTHING that the devil is involved with, is no joke! Take soul ties VERY serious! In my book, “Unholy Matrimony: Healing for the Abused Woman,” I talk about ungodly soul ties and I include the prayer to pray against soul ties; all of that information came from b4prayer.org’s website.

Let’s go into the teaching; from this point, what I post is directly from b4prayer.org’s website, unless I specify. Each part that I include in the teaching, will include the page of the website where I took that specific information from; I will post the web page’s link on the last page of that particular teaching section. If you have any questions, you can contact me at: drdehooks@abusedwoman.org.

I pray as you all study this teaching, Holy Spirit will reveal to what soul ties, if any, that you need delivering from and that He give you wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of this information. Pray before you start studying this teaching.

God bless, Dr. Dorothy E. Hooks

God designed the universe to function with natural and spiritual laws that bring freedom when obeyed, but bondage and destruction when broken and violated. (Blessing and Cursing)

Two souls can be knit or made to cleave together in a covenant relationship; they can also be tied or knit together to form bondage and enslavement.

GOD made two marriage partners one flesh in his ordained sexual union, but promiscuous premarital affairs and extramarital affairs can mysteriously tie one’s soul to many partners.

We just don’t have any conception of promiscuity (sex) outside of marriage; it scatters their souls and destroys their ability to commit to one partner.

Proverbs 5:15-19 NIV15 Drink water from your own cistern, running water from your own well.16 Should your springs overflow in the streets, your streams of water in the public squares? 17 Let them be yours alone, never to be shared with strangers.18 May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. 19 A loving doe, a graceful deer—may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be intoxicated with her love.

It is very important that married couples keep their sexual life to satisfaction, because if not the other may become strongly tempted to seek sexual fulfillment elsewhere. Remember if you are your spouse become tempted and start thinking about a picture will develop in your mind if you think on it enough. Eventually it will manifest.

1 Corinthians 7:5 KJV: Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

1 Corinthians 7:5 NIV: Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Matthew 5:27-28 NIV27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Matthew 5:27-28 KJV27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Proverbs 23:7 KJV: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

2 Corinthians 10:5-6 KJV5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

If you get into an affair you suffer more than you imagine.

1. You will eventually start feeling guilty after the newness wears off and the flesh is satisfied.

2. You have committed adultery and take the chance of losing your spouse.

3. Your soul has now become tied and scattered, causing confusion and strife.
