What Do You Do When Your Healing Does Not Manifest?

Here is a teaching by Gloria Copeland telling you what to do when your healing does not manifest (http://www.kcm.org/real-help/article/what-do-when-healing-doesnt-ma...). I wanted to share this article with my friends because I know there is an attack on the body of Christ with sickness. I myself have been battling back pain which caused pain in other areas of my body. So through all of that, I am much stronger now and I can stand firmly on the Word of God when it comes to sickness trying to attack my body; I learned to trust God at a greater level. Also, I have a greater compassion for people will back problems. I was at physical therapy the other day and saw this man who could hardly walk and a great compassion came over me for him and I begin to pray for his healing. As I looked around and saw others doing their therapy, I began to pray for their healing. I have been going to therapy for about two weeks and that had never happened before. So I know that God used my pain to make me more aware of other peoples’ pain and what they are going through; I now can identify when other people tell me they hurt or I see they have an affliction.

I have discovered it is not about what we go through all the time but about that “thing” in us that God is after. Whether it is taking us to the next dimension in faith (as mine was), getting something out of us that should not be there, or strengthening us in other areas of your life or possibly a combination of all the above; God is doing something in us as we go through. God does not enjoy seeing us suffer; He loves us very much and wants the best for us.

In my suffering with the pain in body, I came to a point I would just cry (literally) and as I was crying, I would cry out to God for deliverance; thank Him for hearing my cry and the ones who prayed for me – thank you all. Just the other day I was crying because I was in so much pain but praise God, I woke up the next morning and I felt like a new person; I really can't explain how I felt but I know it was God. As I was going to sleep the night before (really around 2 or 3 am), I felt something happen to me after reading a teaching by Kenneth Copeland on how to receive your healing (http://www.kcm.org/index.php?p=real_help_content&id=951). Before that, the woman of God told me God wanted me to do something then I would receive the manifestation of my healing; and I did it at the time she told me. Then I received a message before I read Kenneth’s message from Morris Cerullo Helpline and it was entitled, "Insights Into Pain" (http://www.helplinetv.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=vie...). So through all this, God was letting me know He heard our cries for my healing manifestation.

In Kenneth Copeland's message, he talked about speaking to the affliction in your body; that's the same thing my friend had told me on last Saturday when we were praying - God told me then to speak to the pain - I did but I was not speaking correctly. This is what Kenneth said that really stuck with me:

"Have faith in the Name of Jesus. Acts 3:6, 16; John 14:12-14; 1 John 3:23. Jesus’ Name carries all the authority of Jesus Himself. When Peter spoke in Jesus’ Name, it was as if Jesus were speaking. He didn’t pray for the man at the gate called Beautiful. He spoke words of faith—in Jesus’ Name. In the same way and with the same authority, you can speak to your affliction."

“Father in Jesus’ Name, I ask You for a manifestation of my healing. I believe I receive it now and I thank You for it.”

So now, as I said before, God has taken me to another dimension in my faith concerning healing. I know God is our Healer more than ever and that settles it! God is not a liar and His Word says in Isaiah 53:4-5:

"4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and WITH HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED" (KJV – www.biblegateway.com).

Not going to be but we are healed NOW! No matter what your body says or what any reports says: we cannot go by our feelings; we must have faith in God’s Word. Feelings are our enemy because they go against what the Word of God says. Feelings will nullify our faith by bringing doubt, causing us not to believe God’s Word. We got to know that we know that we know that regardless of the circumstances, regardless of the situations, regardless of the feelings, God's Word said, "With His stripes we are healed." Get the Word of God buried deep inside of you so when that "ailment" comes, you can quote the Word of God against it. We must fight sickness, diseases, infections, all infirmities and plagues with the Word of God; they have no legal right to touch our bodies. God is a great planner; He has already made a way of escape for us - no matter what tries to come against us. He is in total control of our lives and we must trust Him to bring us out of whatever.

In Christ,
Dr. Hooks
