What does God want us to do with our lives as believers ? part-2
You were taught , with regard to your former way of life to put off your old self , which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires : to be made new in the attitude of your minds : and to put on the new self , created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness ( Eph , 4:22-24 ) . So what does that mean for believers today ? If we were to answer this question with one word , it would be to abide . Spiritual transformation is so beautifully demonstrated in the word of Jesus in John 15 ( KJV) . Jesus uses the word abide 9 times in 6 verses . To understand the word abide , we must understand the illustration that Jesus gives about the vineyard .
