- Rev. Dr. Daniel and Rev. Penny Loosenort are the founders of Light Dawns Ministries. They have resided in West Michigan for over thirty years, faithfully committed to the Lord as well as serving their church, overseeing the Pre-Marriage Counseling and Marriage Mentor Program.
Dr. Loosenort has his PhD’s. in Christian Psychology, Clinical Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, specializing in Temperament Therapy. He is privately licensed with and a member of the National Christian Counseling Association. Dr. Loosenort is ordained by the National Conservative Christian Church.
Pastor Penny is ordained also by the NCCC. She has years of experience in various Christian ministries. She served as part of the leadership team of Healing Rooms of Grand Rapids for over six years. Penny is a medical professional who owns and operates an educational training service.
The desire and vision of “Light Dawns Ministries” is to fulfill their part in the great commission as they go forth proclaiming the good news. Using Biblically founded principles to set the captives free with counsel and prayer. We believe if people are brought “upright” light will dawn in their lives; exposing all darkness, hopelessness, and sin. Setting in place a foundation of truth, hope and the abundant life Christ died and rose again to give us. Helping the counselee to recognize and call forth the talents and purpose God has created within them to fulfill.
Dr. Loosenort & Pastor Penny believe the Lord has placed in their heart to “team” counsel. Most counseling sessions will be approached together along with the counselee. Although there may be times when private sessions with Dr. Loosenort or Pastor Penny are pertinent, you may also request a private session with Dr. Loosenort or Pastor Penny due to the sensitivity of your situation.
