1974, in the front bedroom at 2311 North 6th St, I received Jesus Christ as my

Lord and Savior after reading a rain soaked Bible tract that I allowed to dry.

My testimony of the experience I had after reading that tract and praying that

prayer was not something, but "someone" came into that room, filling the room

and me with a presence of such power but also of such love, overwhelmed I sank…

"Revelation, For Such A Time As This" Closing Thoughts, Chapter 3

What can be learned from the seven letters to the churchs?...there is a deeper, more personal application of these letters. I believe that the letters define what every believer will face in their lifetimes. As believers, Jesus comes along side of each of us to "captain" our lives! He fully understands that each of us will face challenges and temptations along the way. His heart for us is that we hold tightly to what we know is right, and… Continue

Daniel, Chapter Two

Daniel 2:1-3

1 Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him. 2 Then the king gave the command to call the magicians, the astrologers, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king. 3 And the king said to them, "I have had a dream, and my spirit is anxious to know the dream."

According to Babylonian dating, the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's…

THE RACE IS NOT TO THE SWIFT

Dear Beloved,

THE RACE IS NOT TO THE SWIFT

"I again saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift and the battle is not to the warriors, and neither is bread to the wise nor wealth to the discerning nor favor to men of ability; for time and chance overtake them all" (Ecclesiastes 9:11, NASU).

My family members have gone to bed. I had not slept. I was watching my favorite football team playing with another team in a continental competition on the telecast. It was…

The Unexamined Life

The Unexamined Life

By, Alonzoe’ Thornton

The blessedness of having life essentially requires for each of us to at least examine our lives. This is an ongoing personal quest of Socratic inquiry that leads the seeker onto two roads. One of the roads is called the” Street of Divine Retribution.” Literally millions have found that this road leads them to a life of wrathful vengeance, which is devoid of peace and life. The other less traveled road is the “Street of…

GIFTS FOR EQUIPPING OTHERS

Dear Beloved,

GIFTS FOR EQUIPPING OTHERS

"[God gave spiritual gifts] to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12-13 NIV).

"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone…

SUCCESS

Success is not a wishful thinking but a thoughtful action taken.

Success begins with commitment to the small things we do.

DO NOT BE LIKE THE RICH FOOL!

Dearly Beloved,

DO NOT BE LIKE THE RICH FOOL!

“But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?' This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich towards God” (Luke 12:20-21 NIV).

“Fools say to themselves, ‘There is no God.’” (Psalm 14:1 NETB).

I had an online chat with somebody recently. The person was asking me to prove to her why she…

Soft petals of rainbow swaying in the breath of life

Expanding and growing in spiritual discernment

Grabbing and stretching to embrace the light

Thank you says the soul,

Thank you says the mind,
