12 Observations on Wisdom

 

1) Wisdom comes from God ( Proverbs 2:6)

 

2) Christ is Wisdom to us- 1 Cor 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

 

3) Does not necessarily come with age ( Job 32: 5-8)- understanding = wisdom in this text.

 

4) God will give you all that you "Want" ( James 1: 5-8)- And he won't be upset that you asked Prov 15:8.

 

5) But you have to have a true heart for it-( Prov 17:16- Wherefore {is there} a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing {he hath} no heart {to it}?

 

6) Wisdom enters the "heart" Prov 2:10

 

* Knowledge enters the soul ( mind, will, emotions, imagination, intellect).

 

* Wisdom enters the heart ( spirit & soul)- God speaks Spirit to spirit man- thats how wisdom comes.

 

* Ec 7:12 For wisdom is a defense, and money is a defense: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.

 

7) God's Wisdom Produces Success in every area of Life (Prov 3:13-26) Health, Finances, Peace, Relationships.

 

8) Worth more than money ( Prov 8:11.)

 

9) Wisdom is many sided and infinite in types or manifestations ( Eph 3:10-11).

 

10) God has wisdom for all types of jobs that build the kingdom (Exodus 31:1-6, 35:30, 36:1).

 

11) God's wisdom is uperior to worldly wisdom (1 Cor 1:19-24)

* Worldly wisdom- insight gleaned by trial and error/expermentation.

 

* God's Wisdom- divine insight breathed on information- Trial and error not required!!!

 

12) Abundance of Wisdom comes when you submit to God's purpose and offer Sacrifice

* 2 Chronicles 1:6-12 -Solomon-Submitted to God's Purpose- God gave him immense wisdom.

* That wisdom became a doorway to success for him.
