Everyone take note

 

About a few nights ago I woke up praying for one of our loved ones and covering the person under the blood covenant in prayer.  Later on when waiting on the Lord the Spirit of God showed me that just that kind of prayer alone is not going to save any person. If our prayers can do that, then we are over-riding what Jesus said in John 3: 3  “Except a man be born again she shall not see the kingdom of God.”  HIS WORDS cannot be changed for HE IS THE JUDGE everyone face at the time of death!  No doubt those prayers will be of value until even our loved ones make a decision to repent and be baptized and forsake their sinful life style for it was SIN that JESUS CHRIST SUFFERED, BLED AND DIED AND AROSE AGAIN TO PUT AWAY.  Therefore it is necessary to repent and believe and forsake our sinful lifestyle and commit to follow Jesus Christ.  SIN (big or small) will not be allowed into heaven.  If that happens then the finished work of Calvary becomes worthless, BUT GOD HONORS THAT HOLY AND PRECIOUS SACRIFICE AND THE NAME OF HIS SON! 

Therefore it is up to us who are believers to make the Gospel plain and clear like Jesus Christ said. His offer

of love is based on His Justice and Holiness to whosoever will BELIEVE but those who do not comply will be damned.  This makes it clear that the choice has to be by anyone who will believe and act on His Word and so we who desire them to be saved and escape going to hell should spell it out to them – heaven, hell, repentance and forsaking sin and be baptized in water as given in Acts  2: 38 to enter the kingdom of God.  The sacrifice of the Lamb of God was necessary as WITHOUT THE SHEDDING OF BLOOD THERE IS NO REMISSION!  We also know that THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST ONLY CAN CLEANSE FROM SIN AND TRANSFORM A SINNER INTO A CHILD OF GOD!  This is what the new birth means – we are made new creatures and old things are passed away and behold all things become new by the operation of the Holy Spirit. 2 Cor. 5: 17

Everyone must believe in their heart and confess with their mouth to be saved from sin and its penalty as in Romans 10: 9, 10 –

no one can do this for them.

This was re-enforced to me and I knew I had done this to the individual I was praying for before I awoke and it is now up to the person to choose Christ’s offer or not!   There are many, many Christians who profess salvation but they do not nor obey Him.  

 

May God have mercy on us if we let people slip into eternity without the TRUTH of the Gospel which makes us free!  God’s Word says that the Gospel is THE POWER OF GOD to salvation and this will affect people radically.   Jesus Christ said He did not come to judge the world but to save, but there is One that will judge him on the last day – THE WORD THAT HE HAS SPOKEN - John 12: 46-48
