"Uniting Christian & Jewish Clergy from Around the World"
Discipleship 4/8/2010
What if there had been no Matthew, Mark, Luke or John to write the Gospels of Jesus Christ? What if there had been no Paul to teach the churches? Or what would have happened if they had not followed their God given callings and simply chosen not to write their books? As Christians, we have received the Good News and Salvation through Jesus Christ. It is our duty to spread this Good News. Jesus spoke this in John 15:16, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
Christians are comfortable discussing Christ with other Christians. Churches are full on Sunday mornings and during the week at Bible study. But what are we supposed to do after church and during the week? We are supposed to bear fruit. We can’t cut ourselves off from the world and the unsaved. We must spread the Word. That’s not easy for a lot of Christians. It takes us out of our comfort zone. If we see a homeless person begging, it is our natural instinct to cross the street and ignore him because it is not comfortable for us to be near him. But, what if Jesus had that attitude about us before we were saved? He came for all people, not just the saints. He came for the sinners too.
As Christians, we are so blessed. Because we know that we know that we know that we have everlasting life. But, what about those that don’t know? Think back to the time before you were saved. What or who was it that brought you to Jesus? Was it a parent, a minister, a friend, a horrible situation in your life? What made the difference? There is someone out there who does not know Jesus and that person is waiting for you to tell them about Him.
Step out of your comfort zone. Reach out to the unsaved. Spread the Good News. We are meant to bear fruit as Disciples of Jesus Christ. Keep a Bible in your car. Write your Testimony. Be prepared, because you never know when the Holy Spirit will call on you to speak the words of God to someone who needs to hear them. You may be the only one who will ever reach out to them.
Pray with me.
O most merciful God,
You have saved my soul through the crucifixion and resurrection of Your only Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you Lord. Help me to bring others to Salvation. Please give me the strength and the courage to step out of my comfort zone to be Your Disciple. Use me, O Lord, to spread the Good News.
In the matchless and precious name of Jesus,
Amen.

The AOCI exists as a fellowship of Spirit-filled Evangelical and Jewish Clergy for the purpose of: 1) Exalting God 2) Fellowshiping and 3) Divine Networking.
We do NOT advise, nor do we seek, to bring members out of their current denomination or ministerial association. We seek to have a platform to UNITE the Clergy of the world in ways that can benefit not only the Kingdom of God, but also the men and women who faithfully serve their communities, one another, and God.
