God Is…I Am… Devotional

Day 71 – 4/6/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

God is Truth and Life

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

JOHN 14:6, NIV

RENEWING THOUGHT:

Some teach there are many roads to God, or that all paths lead to heaven. But, as the Word of God makes clear, there is only one way to be reconciled to God. The only way to eternal life is through Jesus Christ.

In Acts 4:8 and 12 Peter, "filled with the Holy Spirit," declared, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." Jesus is the way. Follow Jesus, hold fast to His teaching and you will experience a life of extraordinary purpose and meaning. When you walk in His command found in John 13:34 to "love one another," you demonstrate to a watching world that you really are His disciple. As a result, you know the truth and that truth sets you free.

God is truth. He is the author of truth. Jesus is life. He is the only way to eternal life with the Father. What's more, He is Mediator, having made the way for you to come to God through the cross.

God you worship is truth and life.

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

Jesus was not just another in a long line of individuals seeking after spiritual truth. He was, instead truth itself.

 Day 72 – 4/7/19: RENEWING TRUTH:

I Am Called to God’s Purposes

RENEWING SCRIPTURE:

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

ROMANS 8:28, NKJV

RENEWING THOUGHT:

The call upon your life did not come from mere man. You are called by the God of the Universe. Your call is not lowly, but extraordinarily high. Indeed, it is not of this world, but of heaven. You are called to something great and immensely significant. In fact, it is the greatest call in the history of humankind. As amazing as this sounds, your call is to partner with God in the accomplishment of His purposes on the earth.

His purposes are great and eternal and include the redemption of the world, the salvation of every willing person, and the undoing of the curse that engulfed the world through Adam's fall. God has chosen to partner with you-to need you for the advancement of His purpose. This is the greatest adventure you could ever imagine! It is glorious, filled with more reward than you can dream.

His purposes is the revelation of Himself to all-to set people free from the power of sin and death. Have you, could you, will you join Him in this great endeavor to storm the strongholds of death and set free all who are oppressed?

Trust and rest in the amazing knowledge that God is working all things together for your good because you love Him and have received His high call. His plans for you are for your good and will fill your life with purpose.

RENEWING INSPIRATION:

God has a plan for you-He wants to do some things for you, some things in you, and some things through you.
