"Uniting Christian & Jewish Clergy from Around the World"
Scripture Reading for this week: John 14:27; Phil 4: 6-7
This declaration was taken from these Scriptures so please declare it over your lives this week and at all other times:
I will not worry about anything; instead, I will pray about everything. I am going to tell God what I need and thank Him for all He has done. Because I know according to Phil. 4:6, this is the key to combating worry – telling God in prayer what I need and having a grateful heart for all He has done, are doing, and will do for me. Then, I will be able to experience God’s peace (Phil. 4:7): this is the peace Jesus gave me in John 14:27 which is a peace of mind and heart. Jesus told me:
“I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid” (NLT – www.biblegateway.com).
I accept the peace of mind and heart Jesus gave me; this peace exceeds anything I can understand. But Father says that this peace will guard my mind and heart as I live in Christ Jesus (Phil. 4:7).
I refuse worry, doubt, fear, and all other chaotic things the enemy tries to bring in my life – NO MORE DRAMA! So I will not worry, doubt, fear, let my heart be troubled, anxious, or dismayed because God is with me and I have the peace of mind and heart Jesus gave me to go through whatever comes into my life and I have the Holy Spirit living in me comforting me; I am more than a conqueror.
I declare this degree over my life and every circumstance that arises in my life, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

John 14:27: Geneva Study Bible “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Commentary from: People's New Testament 14:27 Peace I leave with you. A parting benediction. That night he was to be seized and taken from them. 14:27 Peace I leave with you - Peace in general; peace with God and with your own consciences. My peace - In particular; that peace which I enjoy, and which I create, I give - At this instant. Not as the world giveth - Unsatisfying unsettled, transient; but filling the soul with constant, even tranquility. Lord, evermore give us this peace! How serenely may we pass through the most turbulent scenes of life, when all is quiet and harmonious within! Thou hast made peace through the blood of thy cross. May we give all diligence to preserve the inestimable (immeasurable) gift inviolate (keep pure or unblemished), till it issue in everlasting peace! |
Phil 4:6: Geneva Study Bible “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Commentary from: People's New Testament 4:6 Be careful for nothing. In nothing be anxious (Revised Version). The meaning is Have no distressing anxiety about anything. Careful used to mean full of care. Compare Mt 6:25. But in every thing. Instead of anxiety, just lay the case before God, and trust him to do all things well. Let your requests be made known unto God. Three elements enter into the appeal to God: 1. Prayer, the outpouring of the soul 2. Supplication, stating our wants 3. Thanksgiving - we must always come to God, not in a complaining spirit, but with thankfulness for present mercies. |

Phil. 4:7: Geneva Study Bible “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Commentary from: People's New Testament 4:7 And the peace of God. The peace that comes by putting all in the hands of the one who is able and willing to deliver. Which passeth all understanding. Whenever we fully trust the Lord there comes a peace that is past the understanding of those who have never experienced it. Shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. That peace will be a guard which will keep the heart and thoughts holy and pure. Commentary from: Wesley's Notes 4:7 And the peace of God - That calm, heavenly repose, that tranquility of spirit, which God only can give. Which surpasseth all understanding - Which none can comprehend, save he that receiveth it. Shall keep - Shall guard, as a garrison does a city. Your hearts - Your affections. Your minds - Your understandings, and all the various workings of them; through the Spirit and power of Christ Jesus, in the knowledge and love of God. Without a guard set on these likewise, the purity and vigour of our affections cannot long be preserved. |
Have a blessed week in the Lord,
