conformément aussi à la prophétie de David (Psaume 16, 9-10). Après Sa résurrection, Il est apparu à plusieurs reprises à Ses disciples, pendant une période de quarante jours (cf. Actes 1, 3), et Il leur enseigna que ce qui Lui était arrivé il avait evidement accompli les prophéties contenues dans l’Ancien Testament et quel était l’objet réel de Ses souffrances, de Sa mort et de Sa Résurrection (cf. Luc 24, 27. 44-49). Puis Il leur donna pour mission de faire de toutes les nations Ses disciples (cf. Matthieu 28, 18-20 ; Actes 1, 8). Ensuite, devant leurs yeux, Il s’éleva au ciel (Luc 24, 50-51 ; Actes 1, 9), après leur avoir promis qu’Il reviendrait dans la gloire pour régner à jamais, ainsi que l’avait prophétisé Daniel (cf. Daniel 7, 13-14. 27) et pour emplir la terre de la connaissance de Dieu (cf. Isaïe 11, 1-9.
