MY SUNDAY COMMENTARY, 5/5/13
TOPIC: I HAVE COME TO GIVE YOU REST!
SCRIPTURES: ALL ARE FROM THE KING JAMES VERSION, 2013 EDITION.
Matthew 11:28-30, Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

1 Peter 5:6-7, Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he cares for you.

Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

MY COMMENTARY: Jesus is our Sabbath rest. His desire is that we enter into this rest. The burden begins when we want to fix our problems, with our own strengths and abilities. As a result, we carry burdens, which we were never meant to carry. Therefore, we burn out quickly, and our bodies breakdown. This comes from the spirit of pride. The spirit of pride makes you believe, that you have all the answers, and can solve all your problems, and you cannot. The solution to this dilemma is to, let go, and let God! Allow the Lord to work it out on your behalf. Trust in him to turn it around for YOUR GOOD! Jesus said that he came to GIVE US REST! So relinquish your cares into his hands because he cares for you.

About AOCI

The AOCI exists as a fellowship of Spirit-filled Evangelical and Jewish Clergy for the purpose of: 1) Exalting God 2) Fellowshiping and 3) Divine Networking.

We do NOT advise, nor do we seek, to bring members out of their current denomination or ministerial association. We seek to have a platform to UNITE the Clergy of the world in ways that can benefit not only the Kingdom of God, but also the men and women who faithfully serve their communities, one another, and God.
