NO WORD OF GOD IS VOID OF POWER

 

“So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”  Isaiah 55: 11“No weapon that is formed against thee can prosper and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shall condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Me,  saith  the Lord.”   Isaiah 54: 17

 

Many years ago when we served the Lord in India, we had the church in our home and it was not popular with unbelievers. 

When our young Elder went to UK for Bible studies for a year I was not aware that there were two men (calling them N and P) who secretly hid outside our meeting place and listened to all the messages preached.  Their intention was to come in and disrupt the meeting and bring it to naught, if we said anything against their beliefs.  During that time Bro. Manasseh, Robert and I shared the Word of God.

BUT GOD WAS IN CONTROL ALL THE TIME AND HE KNEW THE INTENTS OF THEIR HEARTS AND THEY DID NOT GET ONE OPPORTUNITY during that period of og one year.

My prayer partner and I fasted and prayed twice a week during the afternoons, when my young children were asleep.  On one such occasion we had many interruptions and could not get down to praying so she suggested we visit N for she heard he was not well.   This happened after N was healed after a motorcycle accident in front of his home.  

This time he was ill as there were lots of troubles in his home and in his church and he was very upset and was in bed.  When his wife suggested she will ask me to pray for him, he said no don’t call her for I have asked the Lord to bring her here.

 

When we arrived he was overjoyed and we shared with him a bit and prayed for him.  He wanted to attend our Bible Study that Wednesday to make a confession to everyone.  We agreed but wondered what he

 

would share.  By then our young Elder was back from UK after his studies and he gave N permission to share after the service.

 

N confessed and asked our forgiveness for he hated my prayer partner and I and had vowed with others to bring our meetings to naught.  He then told us of how he and his friend stood outside in the dark and listened to all the sermons we preached even though we were not aware of them.  He also said he now thinks we are two giants of faith for he knows now that God is in our midst even though we are so few meeting in this home.  He gave his heart to the Lord Jesus Christ and our Elders prayed for him.

He told everyone how I had prayed for his healing and how God healed him and that he will stand by us when we want a church to be built in this place.  Everywhere I went and if he was around, he would be pointing out to me telling others about our prayer group. 

He also testified to his priests and wanted me to come and share in his parish council meeting.

I declined for that would stir up strife but told him that anyone from there are welcome to attend our services and experience God in our midst, like he did.

Many people got to hear about how real Jesus Christ is but after a few years when we were ready to put up our church building, he had gone to glory to live with Jesus Christ forever!

Whatever he was going through got too much for him and he was ready and wanted to go home to Father’s House! 

However, because of God’s Faithfulness we did put up a church building in this place by His Grace!  It is still a witness for God and souls are being brought from darkness to light before it is too late.

 ALL GLORY TO GOD FOR HIS WORD IS STILL RELEVANT TODAY!
