Praise

Praise is the key that directly changes our hearts and minds and aligns them with the
creator of the Universe; it opens the heavenlies, creates change in the
atmosphere and changes us and everything in creation.

Thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and
through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of
him.  (2 Corinthians 2:14)

God created man and everything to praise Him.

“Let everything that has breathe praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.” (NKJV)

Meaning of
Praise: (Psalm 150:6)

1. To extol in words or song, to
magnify, to glorify on account of perfections or excellent works.

2. To do honor to, to display the
excellence of. 

We are commanded to praise the Lord:

(Psalm 145:3)
“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is
unsearchable.”

Our purpose is to praise the Lord and bring Him pleasure. Praise is our way of entering
into God’s presence. Praise helps us to focus on God’s greatness, and who He
is.  Praise helps us to know God.

Praise is our way of expressing Gods worth to Him. Praise will be one of the primary
activities in Heaven. There are 24 elders who praise the Lord non-stop.  We minister to God when we praise Him. We
touch the heart of God with our praises.

We are to praise the Lord with our whole heart. (Psalm 9:1)

Praise the Lord with understanding (Psalm 47:7)

We are to praise God continually in all things. (Psalm 71:6)

Praise the Lord with our soul. (Psalm 103:1)

Praise honors God. (Luke 11) 

Praise breaks the enemy’s oppression. (Acts 16:25-26)

2. Shouting or clapping your hands
(Psalm 47:1)

3. Instruments and dancing (Psalm 150:4)

4. Singing (Psalm 9:11)

5. Joyful Noise (Psalm 98:4)

6. Lifting our hands (Psalm 134:2)

Praise is an amazing tool that was given to us by God. He created it to set us free, for us to know Him, and for us to be joyful. Praise is key in this new season. Learn to praise Him in all things big and small.
