"Uniting Christian & Jewish Clergy from Around the World"
Hi dear fellow ministers.
In our church we are teaching through the book of Revelation. Both in our English services every Sunday at 9:30, 11:00 AM, 12:30 PM as well as in our Spanish service at 5:00 PM.
After 30+ years teaching the Bible I found myself guilty of ignoring the very great truths given to the Church in this prophecy. I mean, I used a lot the book but just as a reference to support my teachings. I admit I followed the teaching that say this book is too difficult to study, and interpret, that it is better to enter not too much in it.But I found out that it is not true as it is a glorious message to the Church from our Savior.
Now that finally I entered in it I am really astonish how much we (the Church)has neglected this extraordinary book which sealed the Canon of the Scriptures. I believe many problems we are facing in the Church today were addressed in this book, and we should pay more attention to it.
I am looking for your opinion in regards of your experience, and expertise in regards to the teaching of this book. I found that the literal, grammatical, futuristic view of the book is the one that honor the most its interpretation, and exegesis. I mean in everything starting in chapter four. The first three chapters are the introduction of Christ majestic, glorious present after His ascension, and the messages to the seven churches in Asia Minor, which I believe are also to be applied to the church in our times too.
God bless you all. Thanks in advance for your tips.
