THE LOOK OF FAITH

 

The Bible says in Numbers 21: 9  “And Moses made a serpent of brass and put it upon a pole.

And it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, if he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

 

The children of Israel because of murmuring and discontentment found fiery serpents in their midst and thousands lost their lives.  As soon as they cried out to Moses in repentance to intercede to God, Moses cried unto God for them.  Moses heard from God but not in the way they expected.  God’s way is always better than our way.  Moses in obedience to God took  a brazen serpent and put it on a pole  and set it in the midst of the camp. Moses commanded the children of Israel who were bitten by the serpents to look upon the brazen serpent and live.  The people did not question the method but obeyed by looking at the dead and lifeless form of the serpent and received life.  One look of faith brought them a miracle of deliverance.

 

The Bible says, ”And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the w3ilderness so must the Son of Man be lifted up. That whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3: 14 and 15

 

People everywhere are feeling the weight of sin and the pain of sickness and suffering under the oppression of the devil.  God in His great love for suffering humanity has provided a way for man’s deliverance from the devil.  As Moses lifted up the serpent so Jesus Christ was lifted up on the cross as our Substitute.  Jesus hung on the cross between heaven and earth paying the full penalty for sin and sicknesses and whoever looks to Him in faith shall not perish but shall be delivered from the dominion of the devil.  Jesus Christ is God’s Way for man’s deliverance and salvation.  So like the children of Israel when we repent, and do not question God’s Way, but gladly obey God,  we shall receive salvation, healing and deliverance from the devil.  Jesus Christ said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life: no man will come to the Father but by Me.” John 14:6

 

Friend, is the weight of sin resting upon you?  Is the curse of sickness upon you?  Have you no peace with God and you are fearful of death?  Then this message is for you.  Take a fresh look at Calvary where your sins and sicknesses were laid on Jesus and call upon the Savior and receive eternal life.  The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all sin. If you are sick call upon Him for He is your Healer, for by His stripes we are healed.  Jesus Christ is Risen from the dead and has all power in heaven and in earth and He loves you.

 Jesus Christ said, “Come unto Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”   Mathew 11: 29
