THE LORD FIGHTS OUR BATTLES (EXODUS 14:14).
The Israelites did not possess the advanced weaponry or sophisticated training of Pharaoh’s army. Yet they emerged victorious because the Lord fought their battles for them. When we face battles with doubt, fear, and uncertainty, we can be assured that the Lord will stand beside us and fight for us also. We must equip ourselves with the armor of God—the belt of truth, the body armor of righteousness, the shield of faith, the shoes of the gospel of peace, and the helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6:14-17).
ALMIGHTY GOD, you are a mighty warrior, fighting battles on our behalf. You defend the cause of your people today, just as you did with Israel in days past. Through your Son you have conquered sin and death, and all creation proclaims the victory. Equip us for the battle against the forces of darkness, and liberate those who still languish in sin. We pray these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
