THE LORD FREES US FROM SLAVERY (EXODUS 12:31-39).

The Exodus was such a crucial event in Israel’s history that it became the reference point by which the Israelites marked the passage of time. T his great release from Egyptian bondage also serves as a precursor to the freedom that Christ achieved on the cross for believers. For Christians, the atoning work of Jesus Christ offers release from sin. Let us continually praise God for the deliverance he has given us in Jesus Christ, who has freed us from the bonds of sin and death.
LORD JESUS CHRIST, you alone have secured our victory over sin. You, who were sinless and undeserving of death, died on our behalf and delivered us from slavery. We bless you, O Holy One, for the salvation you have won and for the gift of eternal life you have given us. Amen.
