Why is there evil in the world? Because of the Sin committed by Adam and Eve. This is a complexed topic which can only be understood with the help of Holy Spirit and reading of the Bible. . All innocent humans as babies are born as sinners because of Sin and are children of Adam and Eve. SIN is defined as having a self independent nature from God. Adam and Eve became soul and body only with a spirit disconnected from God. Sin is the Adam nature or old man self or [worldly] natural man [body] or carnal man [senses]. All humans born in the world are controlled by the unsaved Self or Soul and are disconnected from God the Holy Spirit in their spirit called the Sin nature or Flesh. All humans are born with this unrestrained Sin nature. Carnal means the five senses. Carnal minded is controlled by the five senses through lust and desires from the body and mind, which are temptation doorways to the world and Flesh which are Satan's playground in the unsaved body and unsaved soul [self] and dead spirit disconnected from God which are not born again, producing unrestrained acts of sins. Those same doorways can be used to tempt the born again Believers who are saved and yielding to temptation through the five senses of the mind can produce Flesh which means their spirit is saved or born again but they are agreeing with programmed Adamic Sin desires registered in the memory of the unsaved body from the five senses through the Adamic sinful nature in the programmed memory of the unsaved mind of the unsaved soul areas that are not surrendered to God and they become Self effort controlled which produces sins of the flesh [deeds and works of the flesh] referred to as a Carnal Minded Christian walking in the lust of the Flesh [self efforts]. Jesus crucified Sin with its sinful nature at the cross so the born again Believer is not controlled by Sin and has no sinful nature in the regenerated spirit which is immersed and placed in the Body of Christ and sealed by Holy Spirit..  The unsaved body and soul in a Believer can produce flesh if the mind is not renewed with the Word of God in Christ by leading of Holy Spirit.

Sometimes when we see the evil done in this world, we wonder if it will ever end. Perhaps a better question is when did it begin?
When God created Adam and Eve, he created them in a state of holiness and purity. His purpose was to produce a Godly seed (Malachi 2:15). But when they chose to follow the suggestion of Satan and eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they allowed sin to enter the human race.
It happened like this, according to the account in Genesis 2:16-17 and Genesis 3:1-5:
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. (KJV)
God had given Adam and Eve permission to eat of every tree in the garden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This was a test. You see, God had created mankind to worship him, but he prefers voluntary worship. So he gave them the ability to choose.
Up to this point in their lives, they had known only good. They only knew what God had told them and shown them. Then entered Satan tempting them to know more, tempting them to exercise their right of choice, tempting them to determine their own destiny apart from God, and in effect, become gods themselves.
The scriptures say that Satan was once a high ranking angel of God, but he became proud and thought he could become as God. Isaiah 14:12-15 states:
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
PAGE 1
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Apparently, Lucifer (as Satan was know before his fall from grace) was in charge of a kingdom on this earth. In order to ascend above the clouds, he had to be on earth. Because of his rebellion God took away his throne. When he appeared in the garden, he had already been stripped of his title.
To give you an idea of how far he had fallen, let‟s see what the scriptures say about him in Ezekiel 28:12-18:
Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone [was] thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou [art] the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee [so]: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. (KJV)
This was a double reference to the King of Tyrus and Satan. Apparently, there was a king so evil during that time that he could be compared to Satan. That‟s why God completely destroyed the world that Satan corrupted. Psalm 104:5-7 is a description of the destruction of the former world and God recreating it by his Word as he did in Genesis:
PAGE 2
Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
Peter confirms this in Second Peter 3:5-7:
For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
This verse is not talking about Noah‟s flood, because that world did not perish. The fish did not die. The plants did not die. God preserved Noah‟s family and the animal life on the ark.
Satan‟s world had been destroyed and he knew that God had created Adam and Eve to rule this world, the place where Satan formerly ruled. So he tempted them to defy God as he had done.
So, when Adam and Eve ate the fruit, their eyes were opened and they now knew good and evil. In other words, they now had a choice. They could choose the good or the evil. They had become gods unto themselves.
Their actions brought about a curse. Genesis 3:14-19 records it:
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

The curse of sin continues to this very day. Women want to control men and men want to dominate women. Women have pain in childbirth. The ground is cursed. Man has to work hard to make a living. All these things are a result of the curse.
But thank God for the prophecy in Genesis 3:15:
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (KJV)
This is God‟s promise that he will send a Messiah to put Satan under his foot and reassert dominion of the earth to the seed of woman. Because of Jesus‟ death on the cross and his resurrection from the dead, you can be restored to your place of authority on this earth with a born again spirit sealed with Holy Spirit. All you have to do is believe the Gospel of Salvation through Grace by Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in your heart (innermost being/spirit) and confess with your mouth (Gospel of Salvation by Grace are I Corinthians 15:1-4 along with Romans 10:9-10).

PRAYER OF SALVATION

Won‟t you do that right now? Say, “Father, I recognize that I am a sinner. I repent of my sins. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died on the cross and shed His blood for the remission of my sins, that He was buried and He arose from the dead for me. I receive and confess him as my Lord and Savior now. Thank you Lord for being Sin for me and for crucifying Sin in the flesh on the cross and for saving me from my sins in the past, present, and future. Thank you for giving me a born again spirit and placing my new spirit in the Body of Christ sealed by Holy Spirit. Cover me Lord with the cleansing Blood of Jesus. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Teach me how to worship you and how to give you control of my life to walk in the Spirit and not the Flesh. I give all praise and glory to you in the name of Lord Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.”
