The earth was without form and void………and the Spirit hovering over the face of the waters. Genesis 1:2.

He also sent from himself a dove to see if the waters had receded from the surface of the ground. But the dove found on resting place for the sole of her foot and she returned unto the ark to him…………….. Genesis 8:8-9.

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water and behold the heavens where opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. Matthew 3:16.

The earth is without form, void and full of waters that the Spirit has on resting place. So He kept hovering. But Jesus when He was baptized immediately came out of the water and the Spirit descended upon Him like a dove and alighting on Him because there was a resting place for Him in Jesus. The Spirit wants to abide with us forever. John 14:16-17. May we come out of the water so that He (the Spirit of God) may find a resting place in our lives and ministries and not be hovering over us.

About AOCI

The AOCI exists as a fellowship of Spirit-filled Evangelical and Jewish Clergy for the purpose of: 1) Exalting God 2) Fellowshiping and 3) Divine Networking.

We do NOT advise, nor do we seek, to bring members out of their current denomination or ministerial association. We seek to have a platform to UNITE the Clergy of the world in ways that can benefit not only the Kingdom of God, but also the men and women who faithfully serve their communities, one another, and God.
