The Voice of Same World.

We considered calling this newsletter Voice of the Third World, but we believe that calling some
parts of this earth Third World is not right, as I will explain. If we talk about people having the same
rights and if we wish to bring good changes in the lives of “Third world” people, then we should
change this term. We have chosen Same World to show more relationship, concern and love for
others. Of course, we cannot change an established thinking pattern overnight, but wish you to
understand our perspective. We think that separation terms like Third World tend to extend, rather
than correct, social, economic and political problems.

When God created this world, He did not create any categories. As a Christian, I would like to share
something with you.

John 3:16 (King James Version)

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever

believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

God clearly uses the word “world” in a broad sense, without distinctions of First and Second
Worlds. But let us focus on how the Third World originated. In Asia we have many painful memories
linked with politics. We have faced many wars and too much discrimination. The sub-continent
(Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh) has faced ninety years of slavery from 1857 to 1947. This has
set us apart from the industrial revolution and the social developments that have strengthened the
modern countries. We do not wish to blame other countries for our problems, but in many ways our
history defines us, and the years of repression kept us from joining the modern world. Every day,
we experience terrorist activities like bombings, which most of the world does not know about,
because these atrocities do not affect outside nations. Yet these events create a wrong image in
the international community. Our people die, but it is not our people who commit these horrific acts.
It is outsiders who create this situation in our country.

I always have one question in my mind about this matter. If I know how to make fire, how can I set
fire to my own home? We believe nobody can, except in other countries where people sometimes
burn their houses to collect insurance. Our governments try hard to control terrorist activities and
provide peaceful atmospheres, but due to weakness and reasons I will not try to explain, we never
achieve success.

When we look at the beautiful things on planet Earth and in space, how can we think that the One
who created all this wants us to constantly fight? Are we not all human here? Are we not all sharing
this planet? Should we cut off our own arm just because it has an itch? Why are we doing this to
ourselves and our families?

Peace is not just an ideal that we cannot reach. What most people do not seem know is this: if we
as individuals do not wish to participate in wars (i.e. go somewhere and shoot weapons at other
people), then wars will become old-fashioned in due time. Will the politicians and religious leaders
go out there and shoot guns themselves and let themselves get hurt? No, most of them will not.
So, they rely on people like us to be dedicated to their religious beliefs or patriotic sentiments, and
fight their battles for them. Well, I as a human say NO. I as a human resist this. And I invite each of
you to do so as well.

We do not have to send this letter to anyone. We do not have to argue with people about our rights
and our beliefs. We simply will not participate in their conflicts. They will see that we mean
business, especially if we speak to people outside our country, perhaps to our personal danger!
We invite you to send these newsletters to everyone you know.

What we need to do?

-war to be unnecessary and harmful to all life on Earth.

-that we have the power to individually change the world.

-that we are all humans sharing one planet.

-that without the support and participation of regular people in wars

there can indeed be hope for lasting peace.

As Humans we should get agree to do the following:

-promise to never endorse a war

-promise to never give money to a war

-promise to never issue a favorable statement towards war

-promise never to fight in a war (unless in direct physical defense of

family)

-promise to leave the Military once able to legally if in the Military

now

-promise to speak out for peace

-Promise to teach my children/dependents peace rather than war

-Promise to remember and remind others that we are all of one world

-Promise to remind others that we have a power to change this world

-Promise to try to get others to endorse peace as well in all matters!

Please Let your fellow humans know that you are not playing by those rules anymore!!!
