Why Pastors Are Becoming Christian Life Coaches?

Have you noticed that ordained pastors and ministers are transitioning to coaching to impact their followers now more than ever? There are many reasons why this may be happening.  Let’s look at some of the most common reasons that this vast and dramatic change is coming about.

1. Pastors are seeking a source of mentorship to catapult their God-given destiny. Christian life coaches that have served as pastors for many years are a great resource to up and coming pastors who do not want to face struggles along their journey. They are also seeking experienced and professional Christian Life Coaches to hold the accountable to their vision and goals. 
2. Church leaders often find it difficult to get the support they need without facing burn out. Church leaders require spiritual direction and often seek coaching from ministry coaches for clarity in decision strategies.
3. Christian growth is needed by the members. Often members of churches want one-on-one coaching to grow.  Christian coaches support their goals and aspirations through encouragement, accountability, prayer, and providing Biblical insights that challenge them in spirit, soul, and body. One-on-One coaching can often impact and equip individuals greater than in larger environments. It leaves room for individuals to ask intimate and key questions. It also leaves an open door to share things that they may not feel comfortable with sharing in large groups.  Even at times some members are afraid to expose intimate matters with their pastors.
4. Christians that desire to experience their goals want a life coach. Christian Life Coaches are ideal for other Christians that want a life coach.  They usually are seeking someone with Christian values that will coach them into understanding their destiny and overcome challenges that they may be facing in secular environments.
5. Many Christians are moving away from the traditional methods of therapy and counseling for due to lack of transformation. There is a strong desire for knowledge on how to change. Christian life coaches support change with easy and simple life changing action steps. Goals are discovered in sessions and clients are held accountable to maximize their potential in which supports change.
6. Traditional support systems such as family and long-term friendships are not always available. Our culture has created an environment that increasingly isolates individuals. Individuals are looking for support, motivation, and encouragements yet that will align them accordingly with the Holy Bible. They have seen that life coaches have methods that work.
7. Christian life coaching is convenient. Christian life coaches can be accessed almost anywhere in the world by phone, Skype, Google Hangouts, and many other technologies. Many Christian life coaches have offices to meet with clients as well. Christian life coaches are easily accessible which makes it convenient for clients to communicate with them.
