Change

In recent times the word change has been popularized by politicians and has become part of our everyday vocabulary, and while we accept change as a constant, the real question is a personal one, how has your life been affected by change?

The only effective and lasting change is a change toward God through Jesus Christ. The bible states in 2 Cor. 5:17 "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature." When a person comes into a vital union with Jesus Christ, he/she is a new creature. "Old things" (such as thinking, beliefs, expectations, attitude, behavior and lifestyle) are passed away, and a new life emerges. (kjv) What this means is to have our lives governed by Jesus Christ and not by the patterns dictated by the world's system.

In the book of Romans chapter 12, the Apostle Paul in verse 2 explains that change (transformation) begins in the mind, the center of logical reasoning, of ethical judgement and moral awareness. The mind must be completely changed if we are to live a life that is holy and acceptable to God. This change implies a fundamental change in our inward nature to a pattern of character which corresponds to that new nature.

Lets try this for size:-
When you change your thinking, you change your beliefs.
When you change your beliefs, you change your expectations.
When you change your expectations, you change your attitude.
When you change your attitude, you change your behavior.
When you change your behavior, you change your performance.
When you change your performance, you change your life.
