King Of The Kingdom

Jesus is the King of the kingdom . Leadership and the kingdom unite in Him . The kingdom was the central focus of His ministry . The Gospels record over 100 instances where Jesus mentioned the kingdom . They record only two instances where He mentioned the church ( Matt . 16;18 ; 18:17 ) . That does not detract from the work of the church . It highlights the kingdom’s importance . Jesus ‘ entire earthy ministry was set within the framework of the kingdom of God . He came preaching : ‘’The time is fulfilled , and the kingdom of God is at hand . Repent , and believe in the gospel ‘’ ( Mark 1: 15 ) . He told His disciples ; ‘’It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven ‘’ ( Matt. 13:11 ) . Throughout Jesus ‘ earthy ministry , He preached and taught the kingdom’s presence , power , and accessibility . Christ gave the church six kingdom principles . These principles from a basic understanding of God’s kingdom and its relationship to believers . 1. Jesus taught the kingdom of God is growing and cannot be stopped . 2 . Jesus taught the kingdom of God is a reality not simply a spiritual ideal . 3. Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is spiritual, not geographic . 4. Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is community , not individuals . 5. Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is universal , not local . 6. Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is present among us and one day will be completed . In Jesus name I pray we will all meet on that glorious day Pastor Michael M Sherrod D.D.
