What is Christmas all about ?
In today's world it seems to be about commercialism & getting more & more.

As I was recently reading the Christmas narative in Matthew's Gospel, it occurred to me that Joseph (Jesus' step-father) had the real Christmas spirit. The Bible describes him as a "just" or "good" man. I pondered this & the Holy Spirit began to reveal afresh to me that this goodness that Joseph had stopped him from publicly humiliating Mary after he discovered that she was preganant.
The bible states that one of the "fruits" of the Spirit is "Goodness". Have you manifested this "fruit" towards anyone recently?

I think the whole world needs to see the manifestation of goodness in particular in the coming new year, don't you ?

The Christmas message also speaks to me of unmeritted favour (grace) - I didn't deserve God's wonderful & free gift of forgiveness in the shape of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. There is an old saying that we should always be thankful for small mercies....... Jesus Christ is a gift of GREAT MERCY. As God has forgiven us in Christ, so ought we to show grace & forgiveness towards others and all the more in this coming new year.

Hope the preceding has blessed you as it did me.

God bless,

Brother Bill Ness

Bless you. It is my prayer & desire that in this New Year that I display more of the "fruit" of kindness towards others, not only to the household of faith but to the unchurched & unsaved that they may know that there is a God in Heaven who loves them & cares for them.

Dear Pastor Ness,What you have stated rings true.Today we adorn with crosses carry books decorate our homes and cars to show we are christian. This gives some a since of piety security and appearance! The spirit shows who we are by action and word. You can call a cow a horse but in the end it is still a cow!
