- I became disabled and unable to work in October 2006. I went thru a very difficult Job-like experience for the next almost-3 years until my disability claim was approved by the Social Security Administration.
During that time, our Lord taught me many things, the most important of which was that I needed nothing and nobody, only Him. He proved to me His promise in Matthew 6:33: "Seek ye first the .Kingdom of God and His righteosness, and all these things (te necessities of life) will be added unto you."
On August 17th, 2009, I recieved my ordination from TheMonastery.org, and since then (and before, really) the bulk of my ministerial work has been done at care2.com. I minister primarily to other people,who, like myself, are disabled and nearly housebound, and unable to attend worship services.
My ministerilal work is not limited to online activities, of course. Any of us who is a child of God and a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ is called to be light on a hill and the salt of the earth, and the Great Commission applies to us all. Like Jabez of the Old Testament, I am always asking the Lord to "expand my boundaries", and any opportunity to share the Good News that comes my way is an opportunity I take.
