A WORD FROM PASTOR WILL: 'When We Try to Take the Wheel Back from God'

We have a tendency to ask God to lead and we'll follow. We put Him in the driver's seat and then when he takes a road that makes us uncomfortable or in a direction we did not anticipate we protest. 'Lord, noooo. This is a quicker way. Please, let's go this way'. And if it seems like God isn't listening, we grab for the wheel, trying to take it back. We start weaving all over place until He finally gives us the wheel again. We never get to where we needed to be because we did it our way. We never experience all God had for us because we didn't let Him lead. When we get ahead of God, when we try to alter His plan for our comfort zone, He will pull us back or draw back Himself. If we are to follow, then we need to give Him the wheel and let Him take the road He wills, no matter how long it takes to arrive where He wants us to be. The alternative is never getting there at all.

About AOCI

The AOCI exists as a fellowship of Spirit-filled Evangelical and Jewish Clergy for the purpose of: 1) Exalting God 2) Fellowshiping and 3) Divine Networking.

We do NOT advise, nor do we seek, to bring members out of their current denomination or ministerial association. We seek to have a platform to UNITE the Clergy of the world in ways that can benefit not only the Kingdom of God, but also the men and women who faithfully serve their communities, one another, and God.
