Dominion
We can be brought into a state of pristine childlike innocence before God by the regenerating work of His grace. God does something infinitely grander than give a man a new start; He re-makes him from the inside. He provides man with a heart transplant. We have the power, because we have received it, to transform the natural into the spiritual even as Jesus did because the life generated into us is His own life. "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."--Genesis 1:26. God gave Adam dominion over all these things however; the one thing He did not give Adam dominion over was himself. God had dominion over him & Adam had to partake in his own development by obeying God's rule over him & not in his own wisdom. Our wisdom is foolishness without Christ. Adam's source of life was his obedience to God.
