A great many of the books written on what's called the "Psychology of Jesus" are attempts to understand the Person of Jesus through an understanding of ourselves. This is fatally misleading since Christ doesn't begin where we begin. "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, & no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, & the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him."--Mt 11:27. The basis for the Person of Jesus isn't the basis of ours unless we have been born again of the Holy Spirit.
