"When I signed-on to the Redletter Christians movement, I did so because I believe the church desperately needs a revival of true discipleship. If we stay behind the closed fortress of our church buildings, trying to find Christ in the Sunday sermon or crosses hanging behind the pulpit, then we will keep searching. You find Christ and you see Christ when you look into the eyes of the poor and those on the margins of society. The institutional church is dying the slow death of stagnation and comfort. They have suffocated the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a false belief in a Christianity that is comfortable and requires little or no sacrifice. Jesus said we are to pick up our cross and FOLLOW Him. That pretty much requires all of us to step out of our comfort zone and into the trenches where suffering and darkness dwell. We also need to remember Christ was a homeless rabbi from Nazareth. He told us in Matthew 8:20 that "Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." When we look into the eyes of the poor, the homeless, the prostitute, the addict, we are given the opportunity to look into the eyes of Christ. This is where you find Him. You won't find Him admiring the new carpeting or stained-glass window of any given church. Let's get on with the business of this journey by following the example of Christ and bringing His love and compassion to this otherwise cruel and unjust planet we call our world."

About AOCI

The AOCI exists as a fellowship of Spirit-filled Evangelical and Jewish Clergy for the purpose of: 1) Exalting God 2) Fellowshiping and 3) Divine Networking.

We do NOT advise, nor do we seek, to bring members out of their current denomination or ministerial association. We seek to have a platform to UNITE the Clergy of the world in ways that can benefit not only the Kingdom of God, but also the men and women who faithfully serve their communities, one another, and God.
