"If God loves us so much why does He allow us to go through so much pain in our lives? When our body is in pain it sends a signal to our brain telling us that something is wrong. It is telling us that we need to pay attention to that part of our body and take measures to heal. Our emotional and spiritual pain works much in the same way. When we are in pain, God uses that pain as a signal to our soul telling us something is wrong. He allows for pain because it shakes us up and grabs our attention. Pslam 46:1 tells us God is our refuge and our strength. A very present help in trouble. When we are going through challenges that are painful, these challenges are telling us it is time to heal. It is time to recognize that we need to pay attention to our spiritual selves. It is time to draw closer to God and to seek Him as our refuge and our strength. Without pain in our lives, the joy of God's love would not resonate. We would tend to ignore what He is trying to tell us. Once we get the message and begin to explore our pain we search for measures to heal that pain. That pain is healed through the amazing goodness, grace and love of Almighty God. As Christians, we find that love directly in the love, compassion and ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. It is why the word became flesh. God became man to share our pain, both spiritual and physical. Remember when Jesus cried out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me". How many times have we said the same thing? And then there was the physical pain of being beaten, humiliated and executed on the cross. Jesus knows our pain. But Christ also conquered pain and death through His resurrection. And we too will rise again. Our spirits will soar and the pain will heal. We need only embrace the overwhelming and freely given love of God."

About AOCI

The AOCI exists as a fellowship of Spirit-filled Evangelical and Jewish Clergy for the purpose of: 1) Exalting God 2) Fellowshiping and 3) Divine Networking.

We do NOT advise, nor do we seek, to bring members out of their current denomination or ministerial association. We seek to have a platform to UNITE the Clergy of the world in ways that can benefit not only the Kingdom of God, but also the men and women who faithfully serve their communities, one another, and God.
