I Slept, But My Heart Was Awake!

 When your inner man spirit is in synch with the Holy Spirit of God, you may be asleep but your heart is awake to His Kingdom.  The enemy of life will find it difficult to overtake you and pursue you.  On the other hand it will be you that will overtake, pursue, and possess your Kingdom possession.

 In the Songs of Solomon 5:2, Solomon states, “I slept, but my heart was awake.”  He was sleeping but his heart was awakened to the one he loved.  As a child of God we should be able to sleep but still experience a divine connection in our heart with God. 

 This means that we have taken the necessary steps and climbed to a point of exhilaration in having an intimate relationship with God. This is the stage in which God reveals himself and the mysteries of His Kingdom while you are awake and asleep. 

 He will reveal when the enemy is approaching or lurking near your door.  He will likewise reveal when destiny, purpose and design for your life is in motion that will promote Kingdom blessings. 

 In fact when you are this close to God, you will not want to lose the connection; as you are walking in the promises of God.  You are no longer a child of the flesh, but have become a child of the covenant.  You are born again and want to keep the birthright that has been given to you, and never sell out for fleshly gain and fulfillment.  When you fall you will quickly repent and recover without hesitation when the Holy Spirit convicts you.

 Brother and sisters of the covenant, it is better to be able to sleep, but remain awake in heart through an intimate and divine connection with Jesus Christ and experience the Kingdom of the Living God.
