TOPIC: MURDERING LIPS 

SCRIPTURES: ALL FROM THE KING JAMES VERSION, 2013 ADDITION 

Psalm 50:19-21 You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit. You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son. These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such a one as yourself: but I will rebuke you, and set them in order before your eyes.

James 3:6 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven by fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small rudder, wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasts great things. Behold, how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

Psalm 59:12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for the cursing and lying which they speak.

MY COMMENTARY: You can murder with your mouth and destroy another person's life. Be careful what you say, God is listening, and will judge every idle word.
