MY SUNDAY COMMENTARY, 6/2/2013
TOPIC: TRUSTING IN THE LORD THOUGH THE STORM’S
SCRIPTURE: ALL FROM THE KING JAMES VERSION, 2003, EDITION

Mark 4:39-41 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are you so fearful? how is it that you have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

Psalm 107:28-31 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distresses. He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they are quiet; so he brings them unto their desired haven. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

MY COMMENTARY: Noted in Psalms 107 “he brings them unto their desired haven,” another wards he brings us into a place of safety. We serve a God that is all-powerful, all mighty. What can he not do? The creator of the Universe can certainly bring you through the storms in your life. The Lord knows the way that we take. There is nothing going on in our life that escapes his eyes, that he cannot see, there in nothing going on in our lives that escapes his ears, that he cannot hear the cries of his people. Whatever storm you're in God knows, and he put you there for a reason, to make you, not destroy you. In due season if you faint not he will bring you through. Trust him to bring you through, and to bring you into an expected end.

About AOCI

The AOCI exists as a fellowship of Spirit-filled Evangelical and Jewish Clergy for the purpose of: 1) Exalting God 2) Fellowshiping and 3) Divine Networking.

We do NOT advise, nor do we seek, to bring members out of their current denomination or ministerial association. We seek to have a platform to UNITE the Clergy of the world in ways that can benefit not only the Kingdom of God, but also the men and women who faithfully serve their communities, one another, and God.
