The Acid Test

What would your attitude be about God if you had a Job experience? If all your friends, finances and physical health were lost how would you react? If your mate was diagnosed with a paralyzing but not fatal disease and could not walk or work would you remain faithful? Would you blame God if your child walked away from the faith? Could you worship God if no one in the church embraces your pain? If you have not contemplated these questions you have missed the essence of Christianity.

You see God did not just save you so you will miss Hell, but to prepare you for the disappointments, disasters, and diseases in this world. If your faith cannot see you through the dark days it is no faith at all. The mountain top experiences are not a true test of the level of your relationship with God. It is the moments when everything that brings security and happiness have vanished and its just you and God! If you are not following hard after Him during the good times you will fold when all the props are kicked out from underneath you!
