The battle against our ennemy; The Mighty power of the LORD given to his children

The ennemy:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6: 12)

 

The sovereign power of Almighty GOD:

I am the LORD; that is My name. And My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images.

The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man; He shall stir up jealousy like a man of war. He shall cry, yea, roar; He shall prevail against His enemies. (Isaiah 42: 8, 13)

 

The shield of the Lord while walking in the darkness:

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)

 

Uphold my goings in Thy paths, that my footsteps slip not. (Psalm 17:5)

 

For Thou, O God, hast tried us; Thou hast tried us as silver is tried.

Thou broughtest us into the net; Thou laidst affliction upon our loins.

Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water, but Thou broughtest us out into a fruitful place. (Psalm 66: 10-12)

 

But Thou, O LORD, art a shield for me, my glory and the lifter up of mine head. (Psalm 3:3)

 

My defense is of God, who saveth the upright in heart. (Psalm 7:10)

 

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proved; He is a buckler to all those that trust in Him. (Psalm 18: 2,30)

 

The Christian empowered by Yeshua the living God:

For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

 

Therefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and, having done all, to stand.

   
Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness,

    
and your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.

    
Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

    
 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6: 13-17)

 

Who else other than God could have equipped and prepared a tiny teenager shepherd to face a ferocious giant warrior and saying these words in "truth and in spirit" while the Israelite army has been paralysed by the fear during weeks?

"Thou comest to me with a sword and with a spear and with a shield; but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

    
This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand. And I will smite thee and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.

    
And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD'S, and He will give you into our hands." (1 Samuel 17: 45-47).

 

In conclusion, What then shall we say of these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

 

Let's all stand united in our faith and hope in building the Kingdom of God, in Jesus name.
