“Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth”--Mt 5:5. When we recognize our sinfulness & mourn over it, we develop meekness or humility. Meekness does not mean thinking less of yourself than of others, nor does it mean having a low opinion of your own gifts. It means freedom from thinking about yourself one way or the other at all. Can we focus on others so that they can increase in our minds while we decrease in our thoughts? Can we be submissive people living "The meek shall inherit the earth” as our motto?
