THE VOICE OF GOD

 

I have been praying for some time now for the VOICE OF GOD TO BE HEARD IN OUR MIDST when we are gathered together IN HIS NAME!  There was a prophesy some time ago that people will come from the North and South, East and West, not to hear a man or a woman BUT TO HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD!  Then one morning during my quiet time the Lord began to show me what is meant by the VOICE OF GOD for HE has been speaking but we need to hear and do what HE says!   HIS VOICE is the Word (the Bible) read and its message preached or Scriptures read by those who testify.  We many times are conscious of what the people said and miss hearing the VOICE OF GOD to us personally.  Prophecy is the telling forth of God’s Word and I should have been thanking God and praising Him for He will do what He said He will do but I had turned HIS VOICE into prayer!  Now I have changed my prayer and ask HIM to make us more God-conscious as we gather together each time and listen for His Voice in our midst.

 

 We have come from different back-grounds, but we are a people who have heard the VOICE OF GOD TO COME TO HIM AND FOLLOW HIM at some particular time in our experience and by His Sovereign out workings we gather together here to have fellowship with one another and grow together in the knowledge of God and fulfill our various eternal destinies.

THE VOICE OF GOD comes by the Spirit of God to our hearts directly and we respond to HIM and determine to follow HIM and receive His blessings/benefits of this New Life and serve HIS purpose for us as HIS witnesses.   The Bible says, many times, “he that hath ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says!”  We heard the first call from our Lord, “Come unto ME…….” Matt. 11: 28 and thereafter the Lord keeps speaking in various ways as we continue to follow HIM each day as HE instructs us individually.  After conversion we delight in loving and worshipping HIM and talking to HIM in prayer and obeying HIM.

There are many ways the VOICE OF GOD comes to our hearts and we do know when HE speaks to us!   You can hear HIS VOICE through Sunday-School children by their songs and verses of Scriptures they recite.  I know I have!   You can hear HIS VOICE through the Scriptures read and preached , or the singing of some hymns, or through the prayer someone lifts up to God, or the Bible verses on walls or on calendars, or through CDs and DVDs and Christian films you watch, special meetings with special speakers or crusades, or conferences we attend or through tracts, magazines, books we read, or in our quiet times with the Lord, or even through audible voices by the Spirit of God!!    No matter how or when we hear the VOICE OF GOD, our response is very important and determines our growth in the Lord to become Father-pleasers! 

 

LET US HEAR the VOICE OF GOD, BELIEVE HIS WORD & BE STRONG - in John 1: 1-4,  “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him: and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.”      And in John 1: 14 we read, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.”   

God is not a man that He should lie: neither the son of man that He should repent: hath He said and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken and shall He not make it good?  Numbers 23: 19

JESUS said, he that rejecteth Me and receiveth not my words hath one that judgeth him: the Word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. John 12: 48

“Heaven and earth shall pass away but My Word shall not pass away!  Matt.12: 48

I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29: 11

Fear thou not, for I am with thee: be not dismayed for I am thy God, I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea I will uphold thee with my right hand of righteousness.  Isa. 41: 10

I am watching to see that My Word is fulfilled.  Jer. 1: 12

Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all.  Ps. 34: 19

Delight thyself in the Lord and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.  Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass.  Ps.37: 4, 5

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.  Ps. 23: 1

Call upon Me in the day of trouble and I shall deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me. Ps. 50: 15

Cast thy burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain thee: for He shall not suffer the righteous to be moved.  Ps.55: 22

God is our Refuge and strength: a very present help in trouble. Ps.46: 10

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper: and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is of Me, saith the Lord.  Isa.54: 17

I am the Lord, I change not.   Mal. 3: 6

For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring and My blessing on your descendants.  Isa. 44: 3

 

These are just a few of the promises of God.  Hide them as the VOICE OF GOD to you personally and you will be rooted in Him and you shall grow and walk in the light of His Word.

 

God bless us together and use us for His glory and for the extension of His Kingdom!
