TRIED & TESTED!

In every generation, the men and women whom heaven bestows the honor to prevail with God and man are the few who endure great trials and are tested but emerged triumphant. We are only permitted to walk in the fullness of our potential, destiny and purpose only after we have been tried and tested.

Let no one fool you to think that, you can get there by some petty declarations over your life or some sort of rituals involving candles, oil, water, soap, salt, etc. These modern day Pentecostal and charismatic superstition is what have messed up the sincerity of the message of the kingdom. There is nothing wrong with anointing someone with oil but there is everything wrong when people believe that, oil on their heads or the preacher’s handkerchief or enlarged photo of the preacher, etc, are the things they need to get to their destiny overnight. I can write and write and write volumes on these modern day deception in the church. We have stopped teaching people the principles of the kingdom and we have now turned to fables. God help us!

Ask Abraham, Moses, Joseph, Daniel, Paul, Peter and the Apostles and they will all tell you, it is only after you have been tried and tested, that you are approved for the destiny and purpose ordained for you before the foundations of the world. This is an ancient principle and time has not altered it. When you run away for the making process which life exposes all of us to, you will produce premature results which won't stand the test of time. It's time to walk in wisdom; it's only after we have been tested that we become living testimonies of what is possible when ordinary men/women submit to the discipline of God as a school of preparation for their approval. These kind of raw truths are fast disappearing from our pulpits; we now have 5 steps to destiny, 7 steps to the fulfillment of purpose, 10 steps to a successful ministry. Foul ! foul! Foul! foul! There is nothing like 5 steps, 7 steps and 10 steps!

I feel like Jesus when He got into the temple and began turning the tables of the dove sellers and money changers who had taken over the temple. Brethren, let’s stop this nonsense, let’s return to the teachings of Christ and the Apostles. It’s time we humbled ourselves and repent and turn from our wicked ways and God will hear from heaven and will heal our lands! Dr Etta
