What Is A Servant ?
What great company you will be in when you are numbered among the servants ! '' It shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many '' ( Matt. 20:26-28 ) . Jesus said in that text that becoming a servant is where real greatness lies with Him and in the Kingdom to come . In Philippians 2:5-11 . God said that His Son became a servant in His earthly ministers Paul did what Jesus did and what Jesus tells us to do (1 Cor. 9:19 ) In 1 Corinthians 7 :20-24, the Bible says that if we want to be used of God , we are to continue in serving the Lord as a Servant .
