We would see Jesus

Dear Gentle Reader,

e go to the Scriptures to find the real Jesus. We do not go to the scholars, the academicians, the intellectuals; especially those who come to the Scriptures without the Spirit of Christ having been born in their hearts. For to come to the Scriptures without the Holy Spirit is like making bread without yeast; it is like marrying without love; it is entering a darkened room without any source of light. Look at the real Jesus of the gospels, see Him the Epistles, find Him speaking in the Psalms. Look with your heart of faith and your experience of Jesus as he has touched your own life. Let us look with the eyes of His Spirit. By all means, let us bring scholarship and learning to our search for the real Jesus, but not the learning and scholarship unaided by the light of the Spirit of God.

In time you will find that I am a rather unusual Bible Teacher, I can pontificate with the best of them, I don't suffer fools easily ( however I teach and practice Grace for all I come in contact with and a few that never will darken your church (a pagan lady sends money (unasked for ) just to keep my on the "NET").

My goal is to take the American Christians and educate them in the Scriptures. The Tao of Teaching Effective teaching may be the hardest job there is. My teaching is serious, deep (for many who have never learned to "really study the Word" ) funny (I try to put those who study with me at ease, learning comes easier that way-and I try not to take myself to seriously).

If we as Pastors/teachers don't raise the level of understanding for those in the pew then we have abdicated our prime reason for being call into the ministry.

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

{To get you started, I preach/teach with a coffee cup in my hand- and almost fell 6 feet from the pulpit when I stepped back in an English church a few years ago. The English were delighted as I wasn't drinking tea at the time (They never got over the Boston tea party in America}.
